Fuge 2018

This year, students will be attending Mission Fuge in Mobile, AL, June 24-30. We will leave a day early to spend a day at the beach together as a group, and then take part in the week of camp.  Fuge is always a great experience and one that your student will not want to miss!  Cost is $350/student.  Spots this year are limited because of transportation and the first deposit of $50 is due by March 7 to reserve your student’s spot.  Scholarships are also available as needed.  (Please download the application attached below, complete and turn it in by the date listed to be considered.)   We hope your student can attend!

A place for EVERYONE to BELONG!

At Central Baptist, you’ll find a friendly and comfortable environment where you can encounter God and chill with your friends. Just ask around! You’ll hear story after story of how this place “just feels right.”

And to go along with the welcoming environment, you’ll find a youth ministry that provides MANY different ways for you to get involved! There is literally something for EVERYONE! Of course we do it big when it comes to awesome opportunities for fun and fellowship—fall retreats, In-House, scavenger hunts, MAYLEE messy games, cookouts, and much more!

But we also do it big when it comes to getting our students plugged into the mission of God. We want to give them as many opportunities to encounter Jesus and engage in his life-changing mission to love God and love others. This means opportunities for discipleship, like Bible study led at Sunday School and Wednesday Night L.I.F.E., small group time on Wednesdays and in age groups over the summer, and retreat weekends. And it also means opportunities for mission: projects throughout the year and the chance to work alongside of adults in other ministries of Central Baptist. Our goal is to make teens feel loved, to help them commit to following the way of Jesus, and find ways for them to discover the passions where God wants to use them to make a difference for the kingdom.

L.I.F.E Happens—on Wednesday Nights!

L.I.F.E. is the place to be on Wednesday nights! Every Wednesday night during the school year from 7-8:30pm, tons of youth from the community come together in our new Youth Area!  We gather as friends for games, Bible study, small-group discussion, and a mix of free time, grade challenges, and mission projects. It’s an awesome way to get plugged in as a youth at Central Baptist—odds are, you’ll know someone here as soon as you walk in!

L.I.F.E.—We Live It

We have over 30 youth, college and adult leaders who run L.I.F.E. They lead Bible studies and small groups, operate the snack stand, run games and keep security. Many of them are products of L.I.F.E themselves and know deeply how meaningful it can be to invest in the lives of students.

Over the years, L.I.F.E. has become an incredible training ground for future leaders of the church. Many of our students step into roles of leadership in the program after having been shaped by it for so many years, and continue to serve through college and into adulthood. It also helps us to shape leaders for all ministries of the church, and lets students find their passion for bringing God’s kingdom to earth wherever they are.

So Parents…

Know that we are on your side. We want to work with you to help your student become all that God wants them to be. We know that you have infinitely more influence on your child than we could ever have, and we want to help however we can with the task of raising your student.

To do so, we will offer whatever we can to keep you informed. Below, you will find an annual cost notification, as well as a payment schedule for our annual activities. This is to help you plan financially for the coming year to keep your student involved. Along with this resource, you can also request to receive our monthly newsletter for parents and youth sponsors starting in January. If this is something you are interested in, or if you have any other questions about what goes on in CBC Youth Ministry, please feel free to email Josh—our Associate Pastor for Youth and College—at
