While you’re home with your students in the coming weeks, we encourage you to be as intentional as possible with this gift you’ve been given, and focus on making memories together as a family. Do what you can to build some sort of routine for the sake of normalcy, love each other deeply, and offer LOTS of grace.
Part of process of not being able to gather is to equip you all to be the primary faith educators of your students in these days. We are learning as we go with this, so as we encounter new resources, we will be sure to post them here!
Here are a couple of regular connection points that you will definitely want to be sure you are connected with:
Youth Facebook Page— CBCFC Youth
Youth Instagram— CBCFCYouth
And here is a collection of resources that might be fun or meaningful for you and your students in this time:
Online “Field Trips” — Fun places to explore for those with Cabin Fever!
d365 Devotions—A daily devotional that can be viewed online or by downloading the 365 app.
The Bible App—Join our daily reading plan as we work through Luke and Acts together as a church. Visit the website or download The Bible app.
Online Coloring—If you are looking for something to pass the time, you can download and print these sheets, or use the “color online” tool.
We take the work of introducing students to Jesus and helping them grow as disciples very seriously at Central Baptist. Our youth space was designed with our youth and their friends in mind, to provide the prime environment for working with our teens. Throughout the year, we host numerous events to welcome new students and help them build their relationships. We have Sunday School at 9:15am and Wednesday Night LIFE at 7pm to give them regular time to share with friends and learn about Jesus’ love for each of them.
Students also have regular opportunities to serve the community, volunteer for ministries in church, and lead small group discussions among their peers. Whether your student is a new believer, or a disciple of Jesus looking for a place to plug in, we’d love to have them join us!
Have Questions About Our Youth Group?
YOUNG ADULT & COLLEGE (YAC)
We believe that giving college students space to discuss the challenges of life, and adult mentors to help them navigate those challenges, is one of the greatest services we can offer them. Alongside of this, college students and young adults are encouraged to participate in the life of the church, to take up leadership roles, and to serve in the community. If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, we’d love to have you!
