Counseling is the process of spiritual formation in which the client gains personal insight and tools to help facilitate continued growth and development. It is a collaborative effort with a therapist involving goal setting and working to achieve those goals. At Central Baptist, we use a holistic approach with Narrative and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with aspects of Neuroscience to discover a treatment plan together. Confidentiality and privacy are of the utmost importance.
50-minute sessions are available with Jeff Cockerham (Journey Family Counseling), our Associate Pastor of Discipleship. The number of sessions will vary according to individual needs. Jeff has a Masters of Counseling in Clinical and Mental Health and is working toward state licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, working closely with regular supervision. For more information, or to schedule a session, please contact us below.
