Currently, our in-person worship services have been disbanded. Any information on how those services operate will apply when services return, but for now we invite you to join us for worship online!
Weekly online worship experiences will go live on Sunday mornings at 8am, and can be viewed in a Facebook Watch Party at 11am. These worship experiences can be found on the “Online” page of this website in the top header, or on our Facebook or Vimeo page. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@cbcfountaincity) for regular updates or information.
Our in-person worship service will meet in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings at 11am when it returns. Participants will enter through the sanctuary doors on Lynnwood Drive, and doors will open at 10:30am. Worship participants are required to wear masks while in the building. For a full list of procedures and guidelines for worship participation, please read this letter.
The Classic worship service at CBCFC engages the congregation in the singing of “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs” led by the adult choir, accompanied by piano and organ. Percussion, brass, and handbells are also utilized in many services. Visit our Contact Us page to let us know when you plan to visit, or our Music ministry page if you are interested in learning more about being a part of the different musical elements of the service!
A catalyst is something that precipitates a change—at Central Baptist we believe that worship is such a force to create change in our lives. Catalyst is our version of a contemporary worship service. What that means is that you will sing worship songs that you may have heard on the radio with a band and a praise team on stage, accompanied by instruments like guitars, keyboard, and drums. If that sounds like a service you’d like to be a part of, we’d love to have you! Visit our Contact Us page to let us know when you plan to visit, or our Music ministry page if you are interested in learning more about being a part of the Praise Team!
children in worship
At Central Baptist, we believe that having children in worship is important for the entire church’s spiritual formation. Worshiping with adults helps children develop a sense of belonging to the church, and develop their identity with the people of God as a person of God. We provide Worship Carts in each service with tools and activities to help children engage worship.
During the worship hour, children ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten learn about the love of God in a variety of fun ways. Each week, children are reminded of three truths: God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Pickup and drop off spots are in the Preschool Area, which is next to the church Media Center, and just before the Kids’ floor.
