Dear CBC Members,

We’re off to a great start as we continue to implement “Building on a Strong Foundation.” Today we celebrate the completion of one key element: the renovation of the upper two floors of the Broadway Building to provide quality youth and children’s space. Following this morning’s worship service, I invite you to tour the two floors. I believe you will like what you see.

There’s more to come, as we continue to implement the remaining projects. Work is already underway to update several of the Lynnwood building bathrooms. Our technology people are in the process of determining, ordering, installing, and testing a range of improvements in the Sanctuary, FLC, and other places. Updates to the Fountain City Ministry Center area are in the planning stage. The largest single remaining project is the replacement of heating and air conditioning equipment for the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, and I believe we will be able to do so this Fall.

Here’s what we need to do now.

First, take time to celebrate and give thanks for the life and ministry of CBCFC and the progress made to date on “Building on a Strong Foundation.” Today’s worship service will help us do so.

Second, continue to give faithfully to “Building on a Strong Foundation.” We’ve done well so far. Let’s keep up the good work.

Third, don’t forget to give our tithes and offerings in support of the congregation’s ministry budget. This is the spending plan which underwrites missions, staffing, materials, equipment, utilities, facilities, and all the other resources we use to reach, teach, and equip followers of Christ.

Fourth, continue to pray that we remain open to God’s guidance as God leads us to engage one another and the world around us in ways which mirror the heart and mind of Christ.
